Laura started in the insurance industry in 1982 working for a retail agency as an Assistant Marketer. In 1984, she began her career in the Surplus Lines market by joining IPSI as a Receptionist/Policy Typist. She worked her way up to an underwriting position in the contract department. In 1987, she went to work for ANGA as an underwriter/broker for all lines of E & S business including being the Midwest representative for an exclusive Asbestos Abatement program. In 1990, ANGA was purchased by Burns & Wilcox Ltd. where Laura remained as Underwriting Manager until 2000. Laura’s current responsibilities include marketing and brokering middle market Casualty/Package and Workers’ Compensation accounts, including underwriting agent authority for several carriers.
