Mr. Walsh has been underwriting insurance since 1976 and has extensive experience in Property, Ocean Marine and Inland Marine coverages. During his career, Patrick has successfully taken on numerous responsibilities including Property/Package Underwriter, obtaining the highest Treaty Reinsurance authority level available to regional personnel with a large Standard Market carrier. Mr. Walsh was also a Marine Manager responsible for production, underwriting and managing a five state territory for a major Standard Market carrier, including DIC’s, MOP’s and Manuscript coverage for large or difficult Property risks dealing heavily with facultative reinsurance markets. Patrick places Property account with in-house binding authority as well as accounts on a brokerage basis, layering risks internally to make the best use of available capacity and pricing. His current responsibilities include directing IPSI’s Property and Inland Marine Department.
